Yona is a charming 4-year-old border collie malamute mix who is ready to find her forever home (she looks much more like a border collie though!). She has done well with every dog (small and large) that she has been introduced to here at the shelter but does need a cat-free environment. She is a gentle soul who adores children. Yona is house-broken and not an escape artist--offering peace of mind to her adopters. She has had some informal training and travels well in the car, opening up possibilities for adventures together. This active girl loves swimming and hiking, making her an ideal companion for outdoor enthusiasts. Do keep in mind that Yona has a high prey drive and prefers to eat alone. She also needs slow introductions to men. With patience and understanding, you'll find this girl to be a loyal and loving companion.
