Charlie is a very timid girl and will likely be a dog's dog---meaning she opens up around other dogs rather than people. She has been with us for about a month (as of July 9) and is still quite scared of humans. She is working on walking on a leash--she doesn't pull but prefers to stay close to another dog during the walk rather than the human who is walking her. She does great with all dogs she's met so far. We feel she will do best in a quiet environment with another dog to bond with. She barks a lot at everything while here at the shelter. She will make a great working dog but may never adjust to being an indoor companion dog. She has the natural collie instinct to nip and heel (right now she's been practicing on staff when they turn their back!)...so we think she'll do great as a working ranch dog.
