Hammer is a handsome red-and-white male Border Collie, about a year old and weighing in around 40 pounds. He’s a young dog with a big heart and an even bigger work ethic. Though still green on commands, Hammer already shows strong natural ability—he’ll trail cattle all day long without quitting, proving he’s built for ranch life and wide-open country.
Despite his determination on the job, Hammer has a gentle, thoughtful nature. He doesn’t show signs of aggression or any tendency to be overly nippy. Instead, he approaches the world with a bit of caution and timidity, taking his time to figure out people and situations. But give him the chance to bond, and he’ll latch on with quiet loyalty. Once Hammer decides you’re his person, he won’t leave your side—no matter how big the pasture stretches or how wide the horizon runs.
