Why Do

Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Beaverhead Animal Shelter cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.

Adoption

Fees:

Dogs
  • $225 - Puppies from 0 months to 5 months
  • $225 - Puppies from 6 months to 2 years
  • $200 - Dogs from 2 years to 5 years
  • $200 - Dogs from 5 years to 9 years
  • $150 - Dogs aged 9 years and up
Cats
  • $85 - Kittens from 0 months to 8 months
  • $85 - Cats from 9 months to 2 years
  • $75 - Cats from 2 years to 5 years
  • $75 - Cats from 5 years to 11 years
  • $55 - Cats from 11 years and up

Fees for Dogs & Cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Senior Citizens & Veterans Dogs $165 Cats $65

Adoption

Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Beaverhead Animal Shelter cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Beaverhead Animal Shelter dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Dogs
  • Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
  • Bordetella
  • Negative Heartworm, Lyme's, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis Test
  • Lyme Vaccine (if relevant)
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
  • Micro-chipped
Cats
  • Rabies & FVRCP
  • Test for Feline Leukemia & AIDS
  • Worming
  • Fle/Ear Mite treatments
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
  • Microchipped
