Meet Max! Max has been winning hearts right and left after transferring to us from another shelter! This sweet boy greets everyone with enthusiasm and joy. He has shown no signs of aggression toward other dogs. He has been tested with cats and has interest in playing with them but zero aggression or desire to chase them.
He has learned sit, wait, shake and picks up hand signals quickly. He walks very well on a leash.
He has been living with one of our best fosters and is doing great! He's fully house trained and does great inside---calm and in control of himself. He loves to go for rides (especially if it means stopping by the coffee shop for a pup cup)! He enjoys playing with toys and going for walks.
Max initially seems to have a lot of energy---but he calms right down once he gets comfortable in a situation.
Max is currently learning how to be an upstanding citizen at Carroll College. If you think Max will fit perfectly into your home you can apply directly on the Carroll College website and the students will find the perfect fit. Max will be available to go home in May 2026.
