Hi, I'm Pepper!
Before you get too excited, I should probably tell you that I'm not one of those cats who will immediately jump into your lap and declare us best friends. In fact, if you come meet me, there's a decent chance I'll pretend to be very busy staring at a wall.
It's not personal—I promise. I'm just a shy girl.
New people, new places, strange noises... they all make me a little nervous. While some cats charge headfirst into adventure, I prefer to carefully consider my options from a safe distance. Maybe behind a blanket. Or a box. Boxes are excellent.
What I'm looking for is someone who understands that friendship can be a slow process. Someone who doesn't mind that I might never be a cuddle bug. My perfect person will appreciate the little victories: the first time I stay in the room instead of hiding, the first curious sniff, the first time I decide you're trustworthy enough to sit nearby.
I may never be the life of the party, but I can be a wonderful companion in my own quiet way. I'll keep you company while respecting your personal space—a skill not everyone has, if we're being honest.
